About MOR Solutions
MOR Solutions Director Richard Morrish started writing software in 1995 in his spare time to support his wife, who was then the Swim School coordinator at a local leisure centre. Over the years that school grew from 500 to 1200 students, parents and teachers alike were provided with information so parents could monitor their child’s progress and support them outside of lessons, whilst teachers knew exactly what was expect of them, from the lessons they were teaching to an individual students needs.
Looking for a change in career in 2005 Richard approached a couple of leisure centres to see if the solution would be of interest to them, it was, and within a matter of months MOR Solutions Limited was formed and the solution was being used in 5 leisure centres in the south of England. Today MOR’s various solutions are used to support leisure centres; university’s swimming programs; and medium to large private swim schools. Which in turn deliver thousands of lessons to a huge number of children & adults alike.
Organisations using MOR Solutions software have benefited in different ways depending on their previous situation. It’s not unusual for a swim school to double in size where pool time permits. Richard Says ‘I’ve been directly involved with three swim schools where numbers have rocketed to capacity in a matter of months, and seen our clients swim schools do the same!’
Over the past 16 years the MOR’s software has evolved massively and it will continue to do so as technology changes. Back in 1995 emailing was rare and a mobile phone user might send 1 text every two months! Now both systems are considered common methods of communication. So we enhanced our solutions to exploit the technology.
Late in 2008 we launched our first ‘Cloud’ based service ‘Reports Online’, a service that commonly supports hundreds of swim teachers as they record swimmers progress, each month Reports Online website handled over 250,000 hits! This service has enabled us to test ‘Cloud’ computing to ensure all our future developments are robust.
We’re not quite ready to announce the additions in the 2011’s portfolio, but we’ll be launching a raft of enhancements to make the life of a swimming coordinator even easier shortly.
