“...Surrey Swim School commenced in September 2007 with two venues and no swimmers! I was already teaching over 20 hours a week and had committed myself to 18.5 hours of pool space a week for a year, in the first instance. I needed to continue teaching elsewhere to finance Surrey Swim School and realised that to make everything work efficiently, I needed a database that would help to co-ordinate all my administrative tasks.
I found Richard’s company via the internet and after a few minutes of talking to him realised he not only understood the administrative implications of running a swim school, Swimsoft would be continually up-dated to meet the demands of modern technology.
Swimsoft helps me to produce professional and personalised letters, track swimmer’s progress and finances.
As the business grew Swimsoft became the glue that kept everything together and Surrey Swim School invested in On-line Reporting. All swimmers have a personalised Progress Report each term with comments of how well they have progressed and a goal for the following term. Teachers go on-line where the reports are ready for them to complete, they are then downloaded, printed and merged into Swimsoft. A complete picture of each swimmer is easily accessed.
In addition, swimmers who achieve certificates and badges can have a slip produced to purchase the certificates and badges – another great way of keeping tabs on everything.
In conclusion, Surrey Swim School now has over 400 swimmers a week and the majority of new swimmers are from recommendations. Apart from a little help to print certificates and make a few ‘phone calls, I run the business and still work over 20 hours a week elsewhere. This wouldn’t have been possible without Swimsoft and Online Reporting....”
